3 Resources NO 6th Grade Language Arts Teacher should be without!!!
#1: Nearpod
Nearpod is a website where teachers can take their already made google slideshows and make them more interactive and engaging. You can add videos, questions, quizzes, and more right onto your slideshows. Students are able to go through the slideshow live as a whole class or individually paced. Personally, I use it for core novel reading.
#2: Quizizz
Quizizz is a live quiz website where teachers can test their students in real time as a class. You can create your own quiz or use one of the ones other teachers have made. Personally, I use it for vocabulary quizzes and reward quizzes (fun ones).
#3: Paragraph of the Week
Paragraphs of the week is an awesome resource I found on Teachers Pay Teachers. It's great to get students writing on a weekly or in my case bi-weekly basis. It breaks down the paragraph writing process by days of the week. It's also great for writing samples for IEPs, 504s, ELL meetings.
